An evening with Steve...

 Hace algunos días pude asistir a la apertura oficial de la nueva tienda de Steve Madden en Albrook Mall (uno de los tantos malls que hay en Panamá). La nueva sección del mall bautizada Pasillo del Koala, todos los pasillos tienen nombres de algún tipo de animal, es sin duda una de las áreas mas interesantes del lugar con tiendas como Bebe, Gap y Banana Republic entre sus atracciones. La organización estuvo a cargo de la empresa Socialité quienes manejan el PR y organizacion de eventos a varias de las mas prestigiosas compañías en el país; la velada fue muy amena con deliciosos cosmopolitans fluyendo a lo largo de la noche (de los cuales no tome ni un poco y en otra ocasión les contare porque). Como es de esperarse los zapatos eran el mayor foco de la tienda y para todos los gustos desde color block, brillos, con estampado de serpiente y leopardo hasta los mas trendy en colores pasteles, algunos en neón y el color de la temporada, el menta.
A few days ago I was able to assist the opening of the new Steve Madden store in Albrook Mall (one of the many malls here in Panama). The new section in the mall called Pasillo del Koala (Koala Hallway), every hallway/entrance has an animal name, is with no doubt one of the most interesting areas in the place with stores like Bebe, Gap and Banana Republic within it´s attractions. In charge of the organization was the company Socialité who work as the PR´s and event organizers for the most prestigious companies in the country; the evening was delightful with delicious cosmopolitans just flowing all through the night (and for the record I dranked none and why I will tell you in another post). As it is expected the main focus in the store where shoes that ranged within every taste from color block, sparkles, snake and leopard prints and also the most trendy one´s in pastel shades, neon´s and the darling of the season, mint.

 La tienda también ofrecía una variada selección de bolsos, debo confesar que han sido de mi agrado ya que aparte de lindos los encontré muy funcionales y combinables, con lineas bastante clásicas y detalles cuidados que aseguran su viabilidad tanto para el día como la noche. Uno crema con motivo de cocodrilo y aplicaciones doradas en los bordes lo he nombrado mi favorito de la noche.
The store also offered an assorted selection of bags, I must confess they were of my total liking and besides cute I find them functional and pairable, most with straight clean lines and thought details that made them perfect for a day to night wear. A cream bag with croc motif and gold applications on the sides was my personal favourite.

 En oferta para calzado de chico, a mi parecer, han estado un poco limitados; sin embargo, es algo que he notado de forma general en muchas tiendas y creo la verdad que se necesita prestar mas atención a los zapatos de hombre y encontrar opciones diferentes, interesantes y atractivas pues tiende a volverse un tanto repetitivo. Ultimamente he desarrollado una obsesión con los zapatos estilo Wingtip y obviamente este ha sido mi favorito y el único que quise tomarle una foto, estoy considerando seriamente comprarlos...aun no me decido ¿Ustedes que opinan?
Talking about shoes...guy shoes, to me, the offer was a little to limited; nevertheless, this is something I´ve been noting in general on all stores and I do think that attention should be payed to this, they need to start considering different, interesting and attractive new options for men shoes cause it´s getting a little to same old, same old. Lately I´ve developed an obsession with Wingtips so of course the only picture I took was from a pair of this gorgeous style shoes that I am seriously considering buying...haven´t set my mind yet though ¿What do you guys think?

La verdad es que recomiendo mucho, a los que estén aquí, darse una vuelta por el Pasillo del Koala y visitar las tiendas, entre ellas Steve Madden cuya decoración la cual es una combinación entre rustico/vintage la hace muy acogedora y sin duda brinda una muy buena experiencia de compra, también vale aclarar que durante el mes de Marzo estarán con rebajas...así que ya saben.
Truth is I strongly recommend, for those who are here, to visit the Koala Hallway and its stores, among them Steve Madden which rustic/vintage decoration sums up for a very cozy and pleasent buying experience, also worth noting it that they are on sale during the whole month of March...so you know.
