Hilfger Denim´s Travelers

Hola a todos! La semana inicia y que yo llego con nuevas colecciones en esta ocasión de la mano de Hilfiger Denim y su nueva entrega primavera/verano 2015 titulada "Heartland". Creo que en algún momento todos hemos visto una de esas películas donde un grupo de amigos decide alejarse de todo, generalmente la vida de la ciudad, para emprender un viaje de descubrimiento y auto-descubrimiento en el que aprenden lecciones de amor, amistad y la vida en general mientras sus ojos se pierden en vistas pintorescas que retratan un mundo más allá de su diario vivir y en el que cada alma que tocan deja una profunda marca que hecha raíces y nutre el proceso de madurez mental y emocional. Esta es la inspiración de Hilfiger Denim el clásico viaje norteamericano de atravesar el país por carretera, una experiencia que lleva a sus protagonistas a través de distintos paramos (desiertos, montañas y costas) en el que cada uno influencian el diseño generando tintes marítimos y militares que se mezclan con el típico toque rock & roll que caracteriza la marca.

Agradezco al equipo de Hilfiger Denim pues me enviaron product shots lo que me permitió jugar en la edición para crear algunos looks, femeninos y masculinos, utilizando varias de las piezas que se pueden encontrar en la colección. Los primeros estilismos están inspirados en la parte "Denim" de esta línea y los segundos son más variados con tintes militares y western.

Hello everyone! The week starts and I am here with a new collections this time by Hilfiger Denim and its new spring/summer 2015 offering titled "Heartland". I believe at some point we´ve all seen one of those movies in which a group of friends resolve to get away from everything, usually city life...what like is so bad...I´m a city boy as you can tell, to iniciate a journey of discover and self-discovery in which they learn valuable lessons concerning love, friendship and life in general while their eyes wander of some beautiful scenery that pictures a world way beyond their ordinary lives and in which each soul they come across leaves a powerful deep print that roots out and nurtures the ever changing process of mental and emotional maturity. This is Hilfiger Denim´s inspiration the classic northamerican journey across the country, an experience that takes the person through a range of landscapes (deserts, mountains and coasts) in which each one of them influences the overall design translating in military and maritime styles that mix with the already characteristic rock & roll edge from the brand.

I want to thank the Hilfiger Denim team for the pictures and specially the product shots cause the allowed me to play with editing to create some men and women looks using several of the collection´s pieces. The first two stylings are inspired by the "Denim" aspect of the brand while the other two are more varied with some military and western influences.

Which is your favourite road-trip movie? Mine is "Y Tu Mama También" a great film with two of my favourite spanish speaking actors Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal, also staring the fantastic Maribel Verdú. And on that subject congrats to actor Diego Luna for landing a lead role in the upcoming Star Wars spin-off. ¡Latin power!...Ok I got carried there...what the hell...¡Viva Latinos!

MOST WANTED: I don´t care if they are women sneakers...I LOVE THEM! Such a great minimal style with that bold thick colored stripe. We need to make this the sneaker of the season! Lyon 1D...remember them.
