Kris Goyri´s Paradise S/S 2015

¡Hola! A pesar de que el MBFWP fue el año pasado todas las colecciones presentadas tenían como temporada la primavera - verano de este año y como tal, aunque algunos puedan decir que estoy algo atrasado, creo que estos meses son los correctos para mostrar estas propuestas. En esta ocasión les muestro una de mis colecciones favoritas, y probablemente la de varias personas aquel día juzgando por los comentarios, la de Kris Goyri. Este diseñador de origen mexicano presentó por primera vez en Panamá y vaya que dejo marca, su colección inspirada en la selva de Paraíso nos muestra a musas etéreas, conectadas con la naturaleza, mujeres fuertes y de presencia que evocan al jaguar Maya.  

Este diseñador quien ganó el concurso Elle México Diseña en el 2008 hizo alarde de una estética cuidada, maravillosa técnica, visión y sensibilidad femenina que convierte cada una de sus prendas en algo muy especial. Aunque verán que a continuación he dividido la colección en grupos puedo decir que en una vista general se caracterizó por el juego de volumen, prendas off-shoulder y muchos cortes estructurados.

Hello! Despite the fact that MBFWP was last year all the collections presented in it were for this season and in that line, though some people might say I´m late, I believe this months are actually quite right to share them. The collection du jour, by Kris Goyri, was one of my favorites, and many other people fell the same judging by their comments. This mexican born designer showed for the first time in our country and did he left an impression, his collection inspired by the Paraiso jungle exposes us to ethereal muses who are connected to nature, they are strong and empowered women that take inspiration from the Mayan jaguar.

This designer who back in 2008 won the Elle Mexico Diseña contest rocked the runway displaying a creative aesthetic, wonderful technique, vision and a strong female sensibility awareness that evolves each one of his pieces into something very special. While you might see below that I divided the collection in groups as a general thread its outstanding cues where the play on volume, off-shoulder pieces and structured shapes.

Divine Fringe

I am a big fan of the 20´s so these dresses with a little flapper shape and glamouros fringe totally won me over.

Pants on Play

Wether long or short there was something quite strong and powerful about these looks, this women own it!

Petite Wonders

The shorter dresses were fresh, fun and beautiful...the best things come in small sizes indeed.

Muses in Motion

When I think ethereal there is always something flowing and Kris sure had that nailed down.

Green with Goyri!

There were several colors that pop in the collection but none had that summer punch as green which was played to various shades and effects.

Golden Glory

This jacket was a stand out...the motif being inspired by the Mayan jaguar fur pattern...Beautiful!
