Fashion Week Panamá Special - Behind EXO from Friikki by Ariadna Rodríguez

Cuando me enteré que mi amiga Ariadna Rodríguez iba a presentar por primera vez en el Fashion Week Panamá como diseñadora emergente me emocione mucho, ya que desde hace unos años he visto el esfuerzo que ha realizado en sus colecciones y he admirado su visión en cuanto a estructura de trajes, al igual que su estética que tiende a guardar una vibra edgy y un poco oscura.
Hace unos días tuve la oportunidad de reunirme con ella en su taller donde me explicó un poco de su nueva propuesta titulada EXO.
Esta coleccion esta inspirada en la pelicula La Chica del Dragon Tatuado (si no la han visto..deben) y contrasta con las características exteriores de los artrópodos, seres que poseen un exoesqueleto y cuya abreviatura da nombre a esta novedosa propuesta.

Las prendas toman su forma del concepto de una armadura o coraza que la protagonista crea a través de su ropa para protegerse y privar a otros de su mundo convirtiéndola en un ser inaccesible y misterioso, intimidante y a la vez inexplicablemente atrayente. En la colección se podrán distinguir figuras con formas trapezoides así como algunas que se inspiran en el exoesqueleto y que emanan del cuerpo femenino.
Uno de los puntos mas interesantes es el uso del reciclaje de piezas tecnológicas tales como cables, teclas y otros propios de un hacker, especialidad de la protagonista y que hará el papel que normalmente le pertenece a la joyería. La colección también guarda una carta de color que va desde el negro, neones hasta telas estampadas con un cierto efecto metalizado.
Descrita como una colección oscura pero elegante la diseñadora Ariadna Rodríguez seguro dejará su marca en el FWP13 y será una de las diseñadoras a tener en cuenta.

When I heard that my friend Ariadna Rodriguez would present for the first time at Fashion Week Panama as an emerging designer I was really excited because for several years I have seen the effort she had made in her collections and I admired her vision for structure in her clothes and I also like her aesthetic that tends to go for an edgier vibe and a bit dark as well.A few days ago we had the opportunity to meet in her workshop where she explained to me the inspiration behind her new proposal entitled EXO .This collection is inspired by the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (if you have not seen it .. you must) and it contrasts with the exterior features of arthropods, beings that possess an exoskeleton and which abbreviated form give name to this new proposal .The garments are created with the concept of an armor or shield that the protagonist creates through her protective clothing depriving others from her world making it inaccessible and mysterious, intimidating yet inexplicably attractive. In the collection there are distinguishable trapezoid shaped figures as well as some that are inspired by the exoskeleton emanating from the female body.One of the most interesting features is the use of recycling technology parts such as cables, keys and other characteristic items of a hacker, specialty of the leading lady, they will play the part that normally belongs to jewelry. The collection also keeps a color chart that goes from black , neon to printed fabrics with a metallic effect .Described as a dark but elegant collection, designer Ariadna Rodriguez is sure to leave her mark on the FWP13 and will be one of the designers to watch.
