My obsession with sports...style.

Quick! Bring me a ladder...a hook...or a machete...this sh** is going down!

Hoy es un bien día para un rant, una sección donde ventilo todo aquello que me gusta, me molesta o me impacta, lo que me obsesiona y lo que me apasiona. Así que para dar inicio al primero de estos miércoles comienzo con uno de los trends por el que he desarrollado una gigantesca obsesión, el sports chic o sporty chic.

¿Por que me gusta? No se quizás es por mi fascinación con las zapatillas (es un pecado grave la foto superior) ya que suelo usarlas todos los días y si de mi dependiera las llevaría a todos los eventos, es por eso que cuando leo "dresscode: cocktail" mi yo interno se tira al piso y hace berrinche. Anteriormente el estilo deportivo era considerado por algunos como aburrido o muy común, sin embargo últimamente podemos ver como los diseñadores han reinventado este look casándolo con textiles lujosos e interesantes y llevando el diseño de los mismos a un nivel que en muchas ocasiones solo se puede describir como tecnológico. Gracias a esto las personas que componen el universo que es el street style adoptan estilismos más interesantes con que mezclar las prendas deportivas, esto es algo que me inspira mucho y le vierte más gasolina a mi motor obsesivo (podemos anotar las zapatillas, solo mírenlas ¡Son fantásticas!).

En las pasarelas de verano 2014 hemos podido ver una gran cantidad de looks con inspiración atlética y no me queda duda que sera una de las tendencias que seguirá fuerte el próximo año...bueno yo debo decir que tengo algo de suerte debido a que en Panamá no tenemos otoño o invierno...así que puedo abordarla desde mucho antes...¡Oh si!

Today is Wednesday Rants, a new weekly section of my blog in which I´ll be just going blah blah about everything I like, dislike or impacts me, what has me totally hooked and those things I just love and can´t live without. So to start of the first of this wednesdays how about one of the latest trends that´s got me completely floored, sports chic or sporty chic.

Why do I like it? I don´t know, maybe is my undying love for sneakers (that top picture is killing me) which I use almost everyday and if it was one me I´d wear them to every single event, that´s why when I read "dresscode: cocktail" my inner me (whut?) just makes a whole deal about it. This sporty style use to be considered kind of a regular thing or just your average clothes but lately designers have been re-inventing this look taking it to a whole other level mixing with luxurious and interesting fabrics in designs that sometimes you can only describe as technological. Thanks to this all the people that build up the wonderful universe that is street style are knocking it out of the park with their outfits, which is something that inspires me a lot and keeps on adding fuel to motor that keeps my obsession moving forward (just see those sneakers again, they are fantastic!).

In the spring 2014 runways we were able to see a great amout of looks with this athletic inspiration and I have no doubt that this will be one of those trends that will be huge next year...though in my case because Panama has no fall or winter I can actually get to it a lot faster...Oh yeah!
