Brands of Summer 2.0 - London Fashion Week

Hola a todos. Hoy continuó con mi paso por los distintos fashion weeks finalmente entrando en Londres, para este quise hacer algo un poco distinto y es que todos conocemos las marcas Burberry, Peter Pilotto, Christpher Kane, etc; sin embargo la semana de la moda londinense aunque es corta siempre ha sido reconocida como la más innovadora y experimental de todas; una cocina de mentes creativas. Es por eso que en este post quise mostrar mis colecciones favoritas de diseñadores que quizás no están tan mediaticamente posicionados pero no por eso deben ser pasados por alto. Espero les guste mi selección y que tengan buen inicio de semana.

Hello everyone. Today I return with my recap of favourite collections from the different fashion weeks and I am finally getting to London, for this occasion I decided to do something a little different because we all know the big brands Burberry, Stella McCartney, Peter Pilotto, Christopher Kane and so on but london fashion week though short has always been regarded as one of the most innovative and experimental of them, a hot pot of creative minds if you will. That´s why I thought to make a post of my favourite collections from desginers that might not be recieving that really wide media exposure but who are in no way to be left unnoticed. I hope you like my picks and have all a great start of the week. 

ANH-HA

Estas chicas de Vietnam crearon una marca de enfoque global que consiste en tomar piezas modernas con cierta simpleza y trabajar en ellas técnicas como bordados y estampación para crear prendas femeninas con un toque de glamour refinado.

These girls from vietnam created a brand with a global focus that consists in taking modern basics and work in them differente techiniques like embroidery, beading and textile printing to crear femenine garments with a touch of understated glamour.

MANUEL FACCHINI 

Un hombre que vive entre dos mundos dispares, deporte y rock gótico, Manuel Facchini ha creado una marca que es su visión de esta amalgama que resulta en una propuesta visual interesante y atrapante que busca nuevas formas y vanguardismo mientras hace guiños al mundo del arte a través de sus estampados y manejo de distintos tipos de tela para crear figuras con calidad escultural.

A man that lived in two separte worlds, sports and gothic rock, Manuel Facchini has created a  brand that envisions a merge between these to factions that resulted in an offering that´s interestingly visual and engaging that continously searches a way to find new shapes and bold ways of modern avant-garde which takes a nod to art through its fascinating prints and manage of fabrics that are use to a sculpture effect.

PALMER / HARDING

Levi Palmer y Matthew Harding son expertos en el arte de crear la camisa perfecta, siendo este el punto de inicio para evolucionar su propuesta con el concepto de dualidad, desarrollando un lenguaje de fuerza femenina en su trabajo el cual posee elementos modernos y creativos que combinan diversas texturas y tejidos en atuendos que proyectan fortaleza y a la vez una cierta suavidad.

Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding are experts in the art of creating a perfect shirt, this was the starting point to evolve their proposal which sits in a concept of duality devloping a language of strong females in their work which boast modern and creative elements that combine different textures and fabrics in garments that exude strengh and also a certain softness.

SADIE WILLIAMS

 Con una visión empapada de elementos folclóricos y artísticos esta chica graduada de Central Saint Martins, con especialización en diseño textil, ha sido reconocida en diversas ocasiones por sus aportes en al creación de tejido para moda trabajando también para otras marcas en este campo. Sus prendas mezclan ingredientes de arte que poseen una cualidad juguetona y juvenil que le brindan una frescura innata a sus diseños. 

With a vision soaked in tints of folk and art this girl who graduated from Central Saint Martins, with a MA in textile designs, has been aknowledge in several ocassions for her works in the creation of fashion fabrics which eventually put her in the radar of various brands she now works for. Her garments are a mix of artsy interpretation that possess a playful and juvenile quality that bring just an innate freshness to her designs.

TATA NAKA

Una casa de lujo independiente fundada por hermanas gemelas, Tata Naka nos ofrece prendas que no solo le hablan a un consumidor moderno pero que llevan un elemento fantasioso, algo que transmite inspiración en el trabajo de sus diseños. Su ropa aunque muy usable no deja de tener un elemento artístico y de increíble calidad que la hace imposible de pasar por alto, algo que es ampliamente reconocido en los círculos de la moda llegando su colección debut a ser exhibida por Barney´s.

An independent UK luxury house founded by identical twin sisters, Tata Naka offers pieces that don´t just speak with the times consumer but they also carry a whimsical element, something that transpires inspiration through their designs. The clothes, though very wearable, have a very artistic element paired with an excelent quality in materials which makes them almost impossible to sideline, this is widely recognized in the fashion circles just starting by the fact that their debut (graduate) collection was displayed by Barney´s.

KAT MACONIE 

No podía dejar pasar los zapatos pues ¿Que es de la vida sin un hermoso calzado? La colección primavera 2016 de Kat Maconie es una selección fantástica de zapatos coloridos y con aplicaciones metálicas en plata y dorado para todos los gustos. Con un estilo fuerte y vibrante esta diseñadora se asegura brindar un complemento con actitud a cualquier atuendo.

I couldn´t just forget about shoes because what a sad life would it be without some awesome footwear. The spring 2016 collection by Kat Maconie is a fantastic selection of colorful shoes with some of them done in metallic effects in silver and gold. With a strong and vibrant style this designers makes sure to always have that full of attitude bold companion for any look.
