Spring Handbag Trends.

¡Feliz Lunes! Espero que todos hayan pasado un buen fin de semana. Entramos en febrero y lo inicio con un post dedicado a algunas de mis tendencias favoritas de bolsos, ese indispensable complemento, para la primavera/verano 2016. Aunque los chicos también entran en el juego de los bolsos este lunes es todo sobre las chicas (lo siento muchachos pero el jueves lo compenso eh!) y aquellos que he seleccionado, si bien me han gustado mucho, son a modo ilustrativo de la tendencia aunque puede que alguno de la temporada se haya colado por allí. Me encantaría saber si les gustan y ¿Cual es su tendencia de bolsos favorita para la primavera 2016?

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. February starts with a post dedicated to some of my favorite bag trends for the spring/summer 2016 season. While guys certainly fit in the bag game this monday is all about the ladies (sorry fellas but I promise to make it up to you on thursday) and the handbags I´ve selected, while I love them, are mostly to ilustrate the trend though it won´t be strange if you find some for the current season. I´d love to know if you like them and which are your favorite handbag trend for the spring 2016 season?

GRAPHIC GEOMETRIC BAGS

Si se trata de la palabra gráfico definitivamente que caben muchos ejemplos pero admito que fui algo egoísta y me concentré en un motivo que me encanta y son los geométricos. Creo que hay una cualidad muy particular en ellos que los hace llamativos y a la vez elegantes, sin duda un excelente complemento.

Well if we say graphic there are a lot of examples so I admit being a bit selfish and purely concentrated on one of my all time favorite motifs which is all things geometry. I believe there is a certain quality in them which make them incredibly engaging while retaining a classic demeanor, no doubt a great print for an accesory.

STRAW BAGS

Si hay algo que el verano trae consigo son los interminables viajes a la playa (que de paso se ven muy bien en el grid de Instagram). Entre los bikinis, lentes, sombreros, bloqueadores, kaftans y sandalias no puede faltar un buen bolso que tiene que poseer una cualidad más resistente ya que otro material podría sufrir con los constantes embates del sol, entre otras cosas. Este tipo de bolsos se convierten en los accesorios insignia para este tipo de viajes y añaden un bonito elemento natural y colorido.

If there´s something that tags along with summer it is the obligatory beach trip or trips (which btw look amazing on the Instagram grid). Alone with the bikinis, shades, hats, sunblocks, kaftans and sandals there is also a great bag which has to be quite resilient since another more delicate material might not fair very well in those conditions. This type of handbags are the staple accesory for beach trips and they also bring a nice natural and colorful element to the look.

BUCKET BAGS

Este bolso ya tiene varias temporadas en boga y por lo que veo nadie esta listo para dejarlos ir. Sin duda se han convertido en un complemento muy chic y su forma proporciona una cierta comodidad en su uso. He visto todo tipo de modelos desde los clásicos y atemporales diseños de Mansur Gavriel hasta los metálicos y psicodélicos de marcas panameñas como Butterfly Villa, este chico llegó para quedarse.

This bag has already being going on for a couple of season and I believe no one is ready to give it up. There´s no doubt they have become that chic accesory with a shape that gives it a comfortable use. I´ve seen all kind of these bags from Mansur Gavriel´s classic and timeless designs to the psychedelic and metallic ones from panamanian brand Butterfly Villa (shout out!) this bad boy is here to stay.

BOX/TRUNK BAGS

Confieso que la primera ves que los vi fue en una pasarela de Dolce & Gabbana y me encantaron, es como llevar un pequeño equipaje a todos lados. Hay algo muy estiloso en esa forma de caja que siento es una buena alternativa a los clutches tradicionales (no que haya nada malo con ellos pero nunca esta demás un poco de cambio). 

I confess to have seen them for the first time (or at least notice them) on a Dolce & Gabbana runway and I loved them, is like carrying a mini luggage everywhere. There´s something really stylish about that boxy shape that I believe is a good alternative for traditional clutches (not that there´s anything wrong with them but a change is not a bad thing either).

APPLIQUÉ ADORNED BAGS

Por último, pero no menos, los bolsos con aplicaciones. Sin duda increíbles a la vista y poseedores de un sublime trabajo técnico estos bolsos son el accesorio perfecto para no pasar desapercibida y caen muy bien en esos días donde una vestimenta simple necesita un poco de ¡Pzass!

Last but not least the bags with appliqués. Unquestionably amazing to the eye and recipients of some of the most amazing technical work out there these are accesories not for the shy ones and they also ad that extra boost to those simple outfit days.
