¡Estoy de regreso! Después de unas vacaciones que quizás se extendieron más de lo que debían, pero quería sentirme listo para volver al blog ya que aunque muchas cosas buenas sucedieron el año pasado lamentablemente terminó con el fallecimiento de mi abuela, aunque ya llevaba enferma unos meses y todos sabíamos que era una situación sin remedio su partida fue igual de dura, especialmente para mi pues fue una presencia constante en mi vida desde que puedo recordar. Sin embargo, siempre he sido muy agradecido con las enseñanzas de mi madre y desde muy chico me aconsejo sobre como ver estas situaciones y al final del periodo de pesar lograr sentir paz interna y ver las cosas con luz positiva.
Dicho eso pues sabía que tenía que regresar durante la semana de la moda pues tantas colecciones hermosas no pueden ser pasadas por alto y como ya es costumbre vengo con mi Top 5 de las tendencias, y propuestas, que más llamaron mi atención durante las pasarelas del NYFW.
También quería añadir que este año tengo planeado incluir diversos proyectos nuevos en el blog, al final de este mes verán el primero, pues quise volver un poco a la intención original de este espacio que era darle una ventana a la moda nacional y a esos creadores cuyo trabajo ha ido poco a poco moldeando el medio de moda en Panamá.

I'm back! After a vacation that maybe extended more than it should, but I wanted to feel ready to be back in the blog because although many good things happened last year unfortunately it ended with the passing of my grandmother, she had been sick for a few months and we all knew that it was a situation which its outcome was already set her departure was just as hard, especially for me since she was a constant presence in my life since I can remember. However, I have always been very grateful for the teachings of my mother and from a very young age I have been advised on how to see these situations and at the end of the greiving period achieve inner peace and see things with a positive light.
With this said I knew that I had to return during the fashion months because so many beautiful collections can not be overlooked and as is custom I come back with the Top 5 trends, and proposals, which caught my attention during the catwalks of NYFW
I also wanted to add that this year I have planned to include several new projects in the blog, at the end of this month you will see the first one, because I wanted to go back a bit to the original intention of this space that was to give a window to the national fashion and to those creators whose work has gradually shaped the fashion medium in Panama.

ANIMAL INSTINCTS
Los prints de animales estuvieron a lo largo de todo el NYFW y siento que es solo el comienzo.
Animal prints appeared all through out NYFW and I bet this was only the beginning.

LIGHT CATCHERS
Los diseñadores tenían una obsesión con reflejar la luz como fuera desde telas brillantes hasta efectos metalizados, lo importante era resplandecer.
Designers were set in reflecting light by any means possible be it shimmery fabrics to metal foil effects, the mission was to shine.

PAINT ME 80's
Una de las mejores paletas de color, al menos mi preferida, hace su entrada triunfal en las pasarelas.
The greatest color palette, at least my favorite, made its way to liven up the runway shows.

VICTORIAN DREAMS
Algunos diseñadores no se conformaron con los 80´s y miraron mucho más atrás. Personalmente me sentí poderosamente atraído a la sensibilidad romántica y etérea del estilo Victoriano, más que a la estética estructurada de algunos looks (ej. imagen al inicio de la entrada).
Some desginers weren´t good with the eightes and so they look further back. Personally I felt powerfully attracted to the romantic and ethereal sensibility of the Victorian style, at least more than the structure versión of some looks (see: image that opens the post).

ON MY SIGHT
Como ya es tradición también me tomé el tiempo de ver las pasarelas de marcas menos conocidas y encontré cuatro marcas que siento tienen mucho potencial y que quisiera recomendar.
As its a tradition I also took a little time to see runway shows from lesser known brands and found four that I think have great potential and that I´d like to share with you.
