Madrid Fashion Week S/S 2019.

¡Hola a tod@s! El día de hoy vengo con otra selección de pasarelas y es que las semanas de la moda están en su apogeo, en esta ocasión es el turno del Madrid Fashion Week donde varios diseñadores mostraron sus propuestas para la temporada primavera-verano 2019.

Hay algo en la moda española que realmente me gusta mucho creo que junto con la moda mexicana y colombiana forman la cima de lo que para mi es lo mejor de la moda de habla hispana, aunque últimamente la moda colombiana me tiene un poco decepcionado pues he comenzado a ver clones de Johanna Ortiz en todos lados (y se que ella no inventó el estilo pero se convirtió en el nombre con el que más se asocia y ahora muchos quieren replicar su éxito lo que lamentablemente ha convertido a parte de la moda latinoamericana, pues otros países también se suman, en algo demasiado cliché y estéticamente aburrido pues esas mismas marcas no tratan de proponer nada diferente simplemente se suman a un barco en el que ya hay demasiadas personas).

En el caso de la moda española debo decir que admiro el temple de muchos diseñadores que tratan de evitar caer en la línea de las tendencias y presentan propuestas que son fieles a su estética representando orgullosamente su individualismo creativo. Impulsar este tipo de cultura de moda no siempre es fácil y se que en España hay un movimiento grande para tratar de llevar el talento local a una posición donde las personas lo perciban y valoren al mismo nivel que el de la moda masiva que esta imperando en el mundo. ¡La mejor de las suertes a todos esos creadores y agentes de cambio!

Hello everyone! Today I´m back with another selection of catwalks because fashion weeks are at their peak, this time its all about Madrid Fashion Week where several designers showed their proposals for the spring-summer 2019 season.

There is something in Spanish fashion that I really like a lot, I think together with Mexican and Colombian fashion they are the top of what is for me the best of Spanish speaking fashion, although lately Colombian fashion has me a bit disappointed because I have started to see clones of Johanna Ortiz everywhere (and I know she did not invent the style but it became the name with which is more associated and now many want to replicate her success which unfortunately has transformed part of the Latin American fashion, because other countries have also joined, in something too cliche and aesthetically boring because those same brands do not try to propose anything different instead they simply jumped into a boat in which there are already too many people).

In the case of Spanish fashion, I must say that I admire the attitude of many designers who try to avoid falling in line with trends and present proposals that are faithful to their aesthetics, proudly representing their creative individualism. Promoting this type of fashion culture is not always easy and I know that in Spain there is a big movement to try to bring local talent to a position where people perceive and value it at the same level as the mass fashion that prevails in the world. Esta colección inspirada en el Jardín Zoológico de Varsovia lleva la vida salvaje a estampados animales que aparecen aquí y allá para inyectar un toque exótico, pero al mismo tiempo sutil, que se mezcla con prendas que llevan en su inspiración guiños a los años cuarenta.

Designs with an ethereal quality, feminine and with a palpable softness that gives way to captivating moments of color. This collection inspired by the Warsaw Zoological Garden takes the wild life to animal prints that appear here and there to inject an exotic touch, but at the same time subtle, that mixes with garments that carry in their inspiration winks to the forties.

La colección se inspira en un hermoso jardín del siglo XIX donde los volúmenes y el estilo clásico de la época juegan un papel muy importante para dar ese toque de elegancia a toda la propuesta que a su vez mantiene la frescura de la mujer moderna. El perfecto ejemplo de la nostalgia contemporánea, con la vista en el pasado y los pies en el ahora.

The collection is inspired by a beautiful garden of the nineteenth century where the volumes and the classic style of the time play a very important role to give that touch of elegance to the whole proposal which in turn maintains the freshness of the modern woman. The perfect example of contemporary nostalgia, with the view in the past and the feet in the now.

MALNE

Los directores creativos de esta firma utilizan a una mujer real, a su musa de carne hueso, como la fuente de inspiración para esta elegante colección que lleva por nombre Atilana. Una mujer que ellos describen como una musa terrenal aquella que es fantástica no por ser una diva sino por su cualidad natural, una característica que han puesto en sus prendas uniendo materiales de lujo con detalles fabricados en fibras naturales.

The creative directors of this firm used a real woman, their muse of bone flesh, as the source of inspiration for this elegant collection that is called Atilana. A woman that they describe as an earthly muse that is fantastic not for being a diva but for her natural quality, a feature that they have put in their garments by joining luxury materials with details made of natural fibers.

MARÍA ESCOTÉ

Una propuesta que busca simbolizar la ardua y constante lucha por los derechos de la mujer pero desde una perspectiva más alegre y divertida utilizando a las Chicas Superpoderosas como fuente de inspiración para su musa, una mujer fuerte, segura de si misma y que luce la moda sin miedo en todo su derecho y libertad.

A proposal that seeks to symbolize the arduous and constant struggle for women's rights but from a more cheerful and fun perspective using the Powerpuff Girls as a source of inspiration for their muse, a strong woman, sure of herself and who wears her fashion without fear in all its right and freedom.
