¡Hola a todos! Hoy de vuelta con la tercera parte de las presentaciones del Fashion Week Panama 2020 en su versión digital. En esta ocasión presento cuatro propuestas en las cuales se encuentran marcas que tomaron la oportunidad que brindó la situación actual para experimentar con las posibilidades de la moda y otras disciplinas, mientras que en otros casos se lanzaron propuestas que expandieron el alcance de la moda efectivamente entrando en el territorio del 'lifestyle'.
Debo decir que quedé muy impresionado con la calidad y entrega que se puede notar no solo en las propuestas sino en los videos que las acompañan, sin duda que ha traído al frente el trabajo de excelentes profesionales, probando que en Panamá existe una piscina de talento que aún - al menos en el mundo de la moda - no se ha explorado y explotado a todo lo que da.
Realmente espero que este año sea el empujón que el medio necesitaba para iniciar a experimentar afuera de las tradicionalidades, atreverse a buscar nuevas formas de comunicar, humanizar e innovar para crear una verdadera industria de moda panameña.
Hello everyone! Today I´m back with the third part of the presentations of Fashion Week Panama 2020 in its digital version. On this occasion I present four proposals in which there are brands that took the opportunity offered by the current situation to experiment with the possibilities of fashion and other disciplines, while in other cases proposals were launched that expanded the scope of fashion effectively entering in the territory of 'lifestyle'.
I must say that I was very impressed with the quality and delivery that can be seen not only in the proposals but in the videos that accompany them, without a doubt that it has brought to the forefront the work of excellent professionals, proving that in Panama there is a pool of talent that still - at least in the world of fashion - has not been explored and exploited to all that it can give.
I really hope that this year will be the push that the medium needed to start experimenting outside of traditionalities, daring to seek new ways of communicating, humanizing and innovating to create a true Panamanian fashion industry.

Para su propuesta la diseñadora Gianna Levy colaboró con la diseñadora de interiores Ana Victoria Baiz en una colección que titularon 'Convergente' la cual presentaba la unión de ambas disciplinas para crear un concepto fresco con textiles de alta gama que mezclan la moda y la decoración con una fluidez excepcional.
La selección de materiales para crear los atuendo fue impecable y nos brindó una propuesta de la cual al menos yo no tengo ninguna queja. Creo que hay piezas deseables que seguro conquistaran a muchas mujeres pues bailan en ese hermoso punto medio donde la funcionalidad no es ajena al lujo. Una colaboración exitosa que podría repetirse y no puedo esperar a ver el resultado.
For her proposal, the designer Gianna Levy collaborated with the interior designer Ana Victoria Baiz in a collection entitled 'Convergente' which presented the union of both disciplines to create a fresh concept with high-end textiles that mix fashion and decoration with exceptional fluidity.
The selection of materials to create the outfits was impeccable and gave us a proposal of which at least I have no complaints. I think there are desirable pieces that will surely conquer many women because they dance in that beautiful midpoint where functionality is not alien to luxury. A successful collaboration that could be repeated and I can't wait to see the result.
El diseñador presentó su colección 'Flora Sapienz' el último día del FWP 2020 y como ya es costumbre no decepcionó al público, mostrando una marcada evolución en su diseño mientras mantiene ese halo de magia y naturalidad que ha sido constante en sus propuestas y lo ha llevado a convertirse en uno de los nombres jóvenes más reconocidos en el medio de moda local.
Esta colección contó con bellos colores vivos y alegres, prendas inspiradas en la naturaleza, un soberbio trabajo artesanal en trajes con aplicaciones de ensueño y la utilización de estampados personalizados cargados de ese universo inspirador y etéreo que siempre sustenta el trabajo del diseñador. Como en muchas de sus propuestas más recientes el creador se aseguró de que la misma tuviera un rango versátil de piezas, en las cuales también incluyó indumentaria masculina y por supuesto su línea de accesorios que terminan de complementar y realzar este excelente trabajo.
The designer presented his collection 'Flora Sapienz' on the last day of FWP 2020 and as usual he did not disappoint the public, showing a marked evolution in his design while maintaining that halo of magic and naturalness that has been constant in his proposals and has led him to become one of the most recognized young names in the local fashion scene.
This collection featured beautiful bright and cheerful colors, garments inspired by nature, superb craftsmanship in suits with dreamy applications and the use of personalized prints loaded with that inspiring and ethereal universe that always sustains the designer's work. As in many of his most recent proposals, the creator made sure that it had a versatile range of pieces, in which he also included men's clothing and of course his line of accessories that complement and enhance this excellent work.
Esta colaboración estaba programada a presentarse en el Macrofest 2020 pero como muchas marcas quedó en pausa a causa de la pandemia, sin embargo se les brindó la oportunidad de debutar en el FWP y honestamente creo que fue para mejor. Ambos artistas de 17 años (ella diseñadora y el pintor) se unieron para crear una propuesta inspirada en su amor por la naturaleza que a su vez manda un mensaje de libertad.
Para su colección 'Tierra del Cielo' La diseñadora creó prendas en tonos sutiles y elegantes en telas fluidas que otorgaban esa sensación de movimiento risueño, cada una única y especial. El artista colaboró creando más de 600 mariposas pintadas a mano basadas en especies reales existentes que acompañaban los diseños de Pauluna detallando un toque de color vivo en cinturones, tocados, pendientes y aplicaciones.
Creo que esta marca se beneficio mucho del formato de presentaciones este año pues su fashion film realmente proyectó de forma innegable la belleza y movimiento de sus diseños. Sin duda una marca, y dos artistas, para mantener en el radar.
This collaboration was scheduled to be presented at Macrofest 2020 in march but like many brands it was put on hiatus due to the pandemic, however they were given the opportunity to debut at the FWP and I honestly think it was for the better. Both 17-year-old artists (she a designer and him a painter) came together to create a proposal inspired by their love for nature, which in turn sends a message of freedom.
For her collection 'Tierra del Cielo' the designer created garments in subtle and elegant tones in flowing fabrics that gave that sensation of smiling movement, each one unique and special. The artist collaborated by creating more than 600 hand-painted butterflies based on actual existing species that accompanied Pauluna's designs detailing a touch of vivid color in belts, headdresses, earrings and applications.
I think this brand benefited a lot from the presentation format this year as their fashion film undeniably projected the beauty and movement of their designs. Definitely a brand, and two artists, to keep on the radar.
La reconocida diseñadora nos presentó su colección Resort la cual hace total honor a su nombre con prendas fáciles, frescas, hermosas y siempre con ese toque muy femenino que es característico de su marca. La misma fue muy versátil incluyendo prendas como trajes de baño, pareos, blusas y pantalones perfectos para combinar con cualquier artículo del armario hasta piezas un poco más elaboradas con vuelos, mangas globo, estampados tie dye, de tigre y encaje tipo 'broderie anglaise'.
Como una innovación la creadora también debutó su nueva línea Michelle Nassar Home Collection donde se pudo ver hermosos juegos de mesa y decoración para el hogar con motivos pintados por la misma diseñadora, una bella mezcla de lujo y arte. Aunque nos tiene acostumbrados a creaciones más elaboradas con textiles de lujo esta colección fue fiel a su temporada y muy inteligente para los tiempos que estamos pasando además que introdujo una expansión a su propuesta de marca, en conjunto una presentación muy exitosa para la diseñadora que esta mostrando que puede navegar varias aguas sin perder su esencia.
The renowned designer presented us her Resort collection which fully lives up to its name with easy, fresh, beautiful garments and always with that very feminine touch that is characteristic of her brand. It was very versatile including garments such as swimsuits, sarongs, blouses and pants perfect to combine with any item in the wardrobe to slightly more elaborate pieces with ruffles, balloon sleeves, tie dye prints, tiger prints and 'broderie anglaise' lace .
As an innovation, the creator also debuted her new Michelle Nassar Home Collection line where you could see beautiful table sets and home decor with motifs painted by the designer herself, a gorgeous mix of luxury and art. Although we are accustomed to more elaborate creations with luxury textiles, this collection was faithful to its season and very intelligent for the times we are going through, as well as introducing an expansion to the brand's proposal, altogether a very successful presentation for the designer who is showing that it can navigate various waters without losing her essence.
