Brands of Summer 1.1 - NYFW

¡Feliz inicio de semana! Como les había comentado cada dos semanas estaré realizando posts con mis colecciones favoritas de las semanas de la moda de NY, Londres, Milán y París. Esta semana le toca nuevamente a Nueva York con mi ultima selección de propuestas que debo recalcar las he escogido en base a que encuentro la línea de diseño, las piezas y los colores ideales para el verano. Esto no quiere decir que otras marcas como Marc Jacobs o Alexander Wang no me gustaran, sencillamente que no entran dentro de los criterios en los que construyo estas entradas en particular. Con este post termino mi selección del NYFW y el jueves (que para los que no saben el blog se actualiza todos los lunes y jueves) estaré haciendo el post con mis marcas favoritas del LFW así que estén muy atentos.

Happy start of the week! As I´ve already told you every two weeks I´d be making entries with my favourite collections from the different fashion weeks (NY, London, Milan and Paris). This week is up for New York again with my last runway choices which I must re-state have been chosen taking in consideration factors like design, wearability of the pieces and amazing colors for the summer. This in no way suggest other amazing offerings like Marc Jacobs or Alexander Wang did not ring a bell, its just that they don´t really fit with the criteria in which I am building these posts. With this entry I end my documenting of NYFW and this thursday (for those of you who don´t know I update each monday and thursday) the selections for LFW will be up in the blog so stay tuned.

TOMMY HILFIGER

El Sr. Hilfiger continua anotándose otro éxito con una colección que nos lleva a las costas donde la arena, el sol y el mar crean una armonía sensorial perfecta. Tengo el presentimiento que esta propuesta no durará mucho en las tiendas ya que con la cantidad de comentarios positivos que tiene seguro será un verano muy Hilfiger.

Mr. Hilfiger´s home run..run...continues its path with a collection that takes us to the coast where the sand, sun and sea all blend in to create a perfect harmony for the senses. I´ve got a feeling that this offering might not last in the stores, all the positive comments it has garnered only tells me this will be a very Hilfiger summer.

DIANE VON FURSTENBERG

¿Que es un verano sin DVF y sus famosos estampados? Sus trajes que complementan la figura y aun mantienen una sensación de soltura en la silueta han sido los mas deseados desde hace décadas. Con una colección inspirada en la diosa de la fortuna se asegura de brindar a las mujeres prendas que asegurarán su suerte para nunca fallar una nota de estilo en la próxima temporada.

TANYA TAYLOR 

Nunca esta demás aquella colección que tiene prendas muy ponibles y que a la vez empuja un poco la moda con cortes modernos e interesantes. La propuesta de Tanya Taylor se aseguro de ser todo eso y más convirtiéndose en una de mis colecciones favoritas de la temporada, bueno por ahora. El uso de colores, los estampados, los cortes y las siluetas sugieren una visión de diseño fresca para una chica con mucho estilo.

Its always a thrill when you find that collection with garments that are wonderfully wearable and still pushes the fashion a bit forward with moderns and insteresting cuts. Tanya Taylor´s offering make sure to deliver all that and more becoming one of my favourite collections of the season, well for now. The use of colors, prints, cuts and shapes were so on point that its just a perfectly fresh design point of view for a fierce stylish girl.

LACOSTE 

¿Que pensaban que iba a omitir cualquier tipo de ropa deportiva? Pues era imposible si la colección de Lacoste una vez mas nos demostró lo sencillamente cool que es el "sporty chic". La evolución de esta marca ha sido una de las mas impresionantes para mi que en algún punto la consideraba tan plana como uno de sus polos básicos. Sin duda que un nuevo director creativo fue el cambio que necesitaba pues ha re-energizado el estilo deportivo como a si misma y eso mis queridos lectores es la prueba que cuando los elementos correctos se juntan solo suceden maravillas.

What did you think that I was completely avoiding any type of sport clothes? It was nearly impossible if Lacoste once again proved just how simply cool "sporty chic" really is. This brand´s evolution has been really impressive and this comes from a guy who once thought of it to be as bland as one of its basic polos. There is no question that a new creative director was the necessary change because it has re-energized the sports style as well as itself and that my dear readers is proof that when the right elements come together wonderful things do happen.
