Label of Style: My Icon.

¡Hola a todos! Iniciamos la semana con una sección que tenía muchísimo tiempo sin actualizar, Label of Style. Este tipo de entrada funciona como mi pseudo "street style" en el que subo una foto y hago una pequeña nota de una persona que considero muy estiloza y especial; era un segmento del blog el cual quería actualizar desde hace tiempo y pues finalmente llegó la hora. Y que mejor forma de reiniciar mi lista de personas estilozas que con aquella que considero mi eterno icono del estilo, mi madre.

De aquellos álbumes que registraban momentos en el tiempo en las décadas de los sesentas, setentas y ochentas; plataformas, basta elefante, el gran cabello y épicas hombreras hasta el ascenso del skinny jean...no hubo tiempo en el que mi madre no supiera sacarle el mejor provecho a la moda del momento, lo que sin duda fue una gran fuente de inspiración en el desarrollo de mi estilo y la noción de que estar presentable es casi una virtud. ¡Gracias mamá!

Hello everyone! We start off the week with a section that I´ve been neglecting for quite sometime (bad Andy), Label of Style. This entry works as my semi-street style where I post a picture and a little note about an individual that I believe is amazingly stylish and unique, it was a blog segment I really wanted to update for a while and well the time is now. And what a better way to rekindle the flame of this old love than with the person I consider my eternal style icon, my mother.

From those albums that captured moments in time from the sixties, seventies and eighties...oh, the platforms, flare jeans, big hair and epic shoulder pads all the way to the rise of the skinny jean...there wasn´t a time my mother wouldn´t make the most of the current trends, which indeed was a fantastic source of inspiration in the development of my style and the notion that being put together is almost like a virtue.
