Paris Fashion Week - TOP 5.

¡Y finalmente hemos llegado a París! La gran capital que siempre deja algo para el recuerdo (generalmente es el escenario de Chanel y en esta ocasión no fue la excepción). París siempre encuentra la forma de ser romántico pero para esta temporada debo confesar que sentí el romance bastante ausente y en cambio reemplazado por un espíritu de alegría y vivir la vida; muchos diseñadores crearon de una forma reaccionaria a todo lo que esta sucediendo en el mundo.

Esta también fue la temporada de los debuts de directores creativos con grandes casas como Givenchy dando la bienvenida a una nueva diseñadora y un nuevo panorama de estilo, mientras que otras casas de historia como Carven y Lanvin están buscando el camino correcto después de dos fallidos intentos con diseñadores previos y Ungaro pone su confianza en un nuevo creador tratando de reparar el estigma que se adjudico después de terribles decisiones en años anteriores.

Tambien recibí sorpresas en ambos frentes, por un lado creo que Pier Paolo Piccoli es lo que Valentino necesita en estos momentos pues poco a poco ha ido refrescando el estilo de la marca para salir del cuadro en el que se habían estancado con sus "zarinas" como diría mi mejor amigo, es un cambio que se siente orgánico y orientado hacia una sensibilidad de diseño contemporánea que respeta los códigos de la casa. Por otro lado, lamentablemente siento que Maria Grazia Chiuri no es el entalle correcto para Dior, no tiene nada que ver con su energía feminista sino con el mismo estilo de diseño, para mi carece de magia lo que es algo que siempre he sentido ha sido fundamental en el mundo de Christian Dior y el cual todos su directores creativos previos lograron mantener a pesar de la completa diferencia entre sus estilos. Finalmente, una nueva marca ha logrado posicionarse en mi lista de favoritas y es Andrew Gn, les recomiendo que vean su colección pues es simplemente hermosa.

Con este Top 5 finalmente termino mi recuento de las cuatro grandes capitales de moda y próximamente comenzare a subir entradas en preparación al Fashion Week Panamá ya que tengo algunas sorpresitas preparadas. ¡Disfruten!

And finally we have arrived at Paris! The great capital that always leaves something for the memory (generally is the set of Chanel and in this occasion it was not the exception). Paris always finds the way to be romantic but for this season I must confess that I felt the romance quite absent and instead replaced by a spirit of joy and love of life; many designers created in a reactionary way to everything that is happening in the world.

This was also the season of creative director debuts with big houses like Givenchy welcoming a new designer and a new style panorama, while other storied houses like Carven and Lanvin are looking for the right path after two failed attempts with previous designers and Ungaro puts its trust in a new creator trying to repair the stigma that they threw upon themselves after terrible decisions in previous years.

I also received surprises on both fronts, on the one hand I think Pier Paolo Piccoli is what Valentino needs right now as he has gradually refreshed the style of the brand to leave the box in which they had set with their "czarinas" as my best friend would say, is a change that feels organic and oriented towards a contemporary design sensibility that respects the codes of the house. On the other hand, unfortunately I feel that Maria Grazia Chiuri is not the correct fit for Dior, it has nothing to do with her feminist energy which is actually a high point for me but with the same style of design, for me it lacks magic which is something I have always felt has been fundamental in the world of Christian Dior and which all its previous creative directors managed to maintain despite the complete difference between their styles. Finally, a new brand has managed to position itself in my list of favorites and is Andrew Gn, I recommend that you see his collection as it is simply beautiful.

With this Top 5 I finally finish my short review of the four great fashion capitals and soon I will start uploading entires in preparation for Fashion Week Panama as I have some surprises prepared for you. Enjoy!
