¡Hola a todos! Hoy más que añadir una nueva sección podría decir que re-instalo una sección y es la entrada de noticias sobre el medio de la moda en Panamá, una practica que inicié en mi segundo año con el blog pero que por algún motivo fue tomando un asiento trasero hasta quedar en la banca. Sin embargo, es muy notorio que en este particular momento la moda panameña ha comenzado a dar más de que hablar y supuse que era el mejor para re-instalar esta sección donde hago una pequeña lista de aquellas cosas que merecen ser mencionadas.
Dependiendo de la frecuencia de las notas esta sección puede ser mensual o bi-mensual (aunque tengo esperanzas de poder hacerla mensualmente). Espero que sea de su agrado y los ayude a saber un poco más de lo que sucede en la escena de moda panameña.
Hello everyone! Today, more than adding a new section, I could say that I re-installed a section and it is the news entry about fashion in Panama, a practice that I started in my second year with the blog but for some reason it began taking a seat back until it finally sank to the bench. However, it is very obvious that at this particular moment Panamanian fashion has begun to give more to talk about and I thought it was the best to re-install this section where I make a small list of those things that deserve to be mentioned.
Depending on the frequency of the notes this section can be monthly or bi-monthly (although I hope to do it monthly). I hope it is to your liking and help you know a little more about what happens in the Panamanian fashion scene.
THE COLLECTION - Marciscano "Tamborito".

Para mi una de las mejores colecciones en salir del Macrofest, y del verano, es la propuesta de la diseñadora Daniela Arias Marciscano quien mostró una colección colorida con motivos florales hermosos y detalles inspirados en la cultura panameña. En mi opinión esta es una de las mejores colecciones que la diseñadora ha mostrado desde su debut en el FWP 2015 y me gustaría ver mucho más de este estilo en sus futuras propuestas.
For me one of the best collections to come out from Macrofest, and the summer season, is the proposal from designer Daniela Arias Marciscano who showed a colorful collection with beautiful floral motifs and details inspired by panamanian culture. In my opinion this is one of the best collections the desginer has put out since the brand´s debut in FWP 2015 and I´d love to see more of this style in her future offerings.

Mi primer contacto con la diseñadora Gianna Levy fue en el 2017 cuando vi uno de sus trajes en el Paseo de la Moda de Altamoda y quede intrigado pues no la conocía pero sentía que tenia una muy buena confección. Aunque lleva diseñando desde hace algún tiempo fue este año donde su marca realmente alzó vuelo dejando huella en una de las pasarelas del Macrofest. Con hermosos diseños que sin duda le han obtenido una creciente cantidad de seguidores y clientes no puedo esperar a ver su debut oficial en alguna de las próximas ediciones del Fashion Week Panamá.
I first came across designer Gianna Levy back in 2017 when I spotted one of her gowns in the Paseo de la Moda on the Altamoda event and I was intrigued because it was my first time watching her work and it really had some great tailoring. Though she has been desgining for quite a while it wasn´t until this year that her brand really took off and left a big impressión in one of the Macrofest runway shows. With beautiful designs that have gained her a growing number of followers and clients I can´t wait to see her official debut at one of the future editions of Fashion Week Panama.

No es mi primera vez mostrando los bolsos de Diana Arcila en este blog y probablemente no será la última pues son hermosos y ella rápidamente se ha convertido en una de las diseñadoras de bolsos más reconocidas en el medio de moda panameño. Su nueva línea de carteras tejidas, las cuales también vienen con bordados y estampados exóticos, es la perfecta mezcla entre estilo, funcionalidad y belleza artesanal. También quiero aprovechar este medio para extenderle mis felicitaciones pues recientemente algunas de sus creaciones han comenzado a venderse en la boutique de Reprosa en el Mall Multiplaza Pacific.
Its not my first time featuring Diana Arcila´s bags on the blog and it will not be the last because they are gorgeous and she has quickly become on of the most renowned handbag designers in the panamanian fashion scene. Her new line of knitted bags, which also come in embroidery and exotic prints, is the perfect mix of style, functionality and artisanal beauty. I´d also like to take the time to congratulate her because the brand is now being sold at the Reprosa boutique in Mall Multiplaza Pacific.

Esta nota es super especial para mi y es que si han seguido mi blog desde sus inicios sabrán que Butterfly Villa es una de mis marcas de bolsos favoritas en Panamá...de hecho uno de sus bolsos masculinos fue la primera pieza de diseño nacional que compre y aunque ya los años han hecho estragos en el aún lo conservo pues tiene un valor sentimental. La diseñadora Geniesse Pierre decidió participar en el evento Panamá Diseña con una línea de Laii Bags renovados, el bolso icono de la marca, en colores y estampados perfectos para el verano...además también presentó una linea de sobre en telas metálicas y en animal print que son un total must-have.
This note is super special for me and that is if you have followed my blog since its inception you will know that Butterfly Villa is one of my favorite handbag brands in Panama ... in fact one of its masculine handbags was the first piece of national design I bought and although the years have already wreaked havoc on it I still have it because it has a sentimental value. The designer Geniesse Pierre decided to participate in the Panama Design event with a line of renewed Laii Bags, the icon piece of the brand, in colors and prints perfect for summer ... she also presented a line of clutches in metal and animal print fabrics that are a total must-have.
LIVING WITH STYLE - Hélène Breebaart Home.

La diseñadora veterana Hélène Breebaart también participio en la edición 2018 de Panamá Diseña donde presentó su nueva linea Breebaart Home en la cual pone toda la característica artesanal, arte y amor por la cultura panameña en piezas perfectas para el hogar. Me encanta ver a diseñadores expandir sus propuestas a otras áreas y especialmente creadoras como Hélène que tienen tanto tiempo en el negocio y aún encuentran maneras de seguir sorprendiendo y haciendo trabajos estupendos.
The veteran designer Hélène Breebaart also participated in the 2018 edition of Panama Diseña where she presented her new Breebaart Home line in which she puts all the artisanal characteristic, art and love for the Panamanian culture in perfect pieces for the home. I love seeing designers expand their proposals to other areas and especially creatives like Hélène who have so much time in the business and still find ways to continue surprising and doing great jobs.
