MFW Spring Summer 2020 - Trends to Play.

¡Hola mis queridos lectores! Hoy estoy de regreso para compartir mis micro-tendencias del Milán Fashion Week, probablemente mi semana de la moda favorita. Siempre he sentido que la estética italiana tiene muchas cosas en común con la latinoamericana y quizás por eso me identifico mucho con las colecciones que se presentan en este fashion week. 

Creo que a diferencia de Nueva York que a veces lidia en extremos, Londres que siempre he sentido se le dificulta editar su creatividad y la seriedad estética que suele imperar en París; Milán tiene uno de los mejores balances entre creatividad y comercialidad.

Parte de mi intención al hacer estas compilaciones de tendencias y cosas que me gustaron de cada semana de la moda es poder inspirar a todos los que viven en Panamá, ya que se acerca el Fashion Week Panamá, a que se aventuren con algunas de las categorías y creen un excelente outfit inspirado en las pasarelas internacionales. Si de paso también otras personas que me leen del extranjero encuentran inspiración en esta lista pues me siento más que feliz de poder contribuir aunque sea un poquito. ¡Espero les guste!

Hello my dear readers! Today I am back to share my micro-trends from Milan Fashion Week, probably my favorite fashion week. I have always felt that Italian aesthetics have many things in common with Latin American and perhaps that's why I identify a lot with the collections that are presented in this fashion week.

I think that unlike New York that sometimes deals in extremes, London that I have always felt has it difficult when it comes to editing their creativity and the aesthetic seriousness that usually prevails in Paris; Milan has one of the best balance between creativity and wearability.

Part of my intention in making these compilations of trends and things that I liked every fashion week is to be able to inspire everyone who lives in Panama, as Panama Fashion Week approaches, to venture with some of the categories and create an excellent outfit inspired by international catwalks. If other people who read me from abroad also find inspiration on this list, I feel more than happy to contribute even a little. I hope you like it!

Versatile Classic

Hay varios colores que los analistas de tendencia han señalado durante este mes de la moda pero si hay uno que llamó mucho mi atención y están dejando pasar es el khaki. Quizás su cualidad de básico o neutro entre los colores no le merece mucha atención mediática pero es sin duda uno de los tonos más versátiles que existe, va con todo, aunque en estas propuestas de verano los diseñadores están apostando por un uso casi total del color demostrando que por su cuenta es igual de chic.

There are several colors that trend analysts have pointed out during this month of fashion but if there is one that caught my attention a lot and they are letting go is khaki. Perhaps its quality of basic or neutral between colors does not deserve much media attention but it is undoubtedly one of the most versatile tones that exists, it goes with everything, although in these summer proposals designers are betting on an almost total use of the color proving that on its own it can be equally as chic.

Seasonal Knits

Una de las tendencias más particulares ha sido el uso de tejido de punto en las colecciones veraniegas y aunque no es exactamente la primera opción de muchos para la temporada su presentación ha sido ingeniosa. Las marcas se han concentrado en presentar esta propuesta de varias maneras, en tejido cerrado pero ligero, otro de tejido grueso pero de construcción abierta y quizás la forma más fácil como detalles en otras prendas y accesorios.

One of the most particular trends has been the use of knitting in summer collections and although it is not exactly the first choice of many for the season, its presentation has been ingenious. The brands have concentrated on presenting this proposal in several ways, in closed knits but lightweight fabric, some others thicker but with open construction and perhaps the easiest way as details in other garments and accessories.

Power Shine

Sin duda que la vida es un poquito aburrida cuando falta brillo y es por eso que estas colecciones han propuesto hermosas piezas que no dejarán a nadie pasarte por alto. Yo considero el brillo un clásico por encima de ser tendencia y es que se da muy fácil incluirlo para múltiples ocasiones, temporadas y en diversidad de prendas que pueden ir desde un pequeño detalle hasta una pieza de absoluto impacto.

Undoubtedly, life is a bit boring when it lacks brightness and that is why these collections have proposed beautiful pieces that will not let anyone be overlooked. I consider shine a classic above being a trend and it is very easy to include it for multiple occasions, seasons and in a variety of garments that can range from a small detail to a piece of absolute impact.

Tropical Garden

Definitivamente que se veía venir la influencia que está generando el tropicalismo latinoamericano (mayormente propuesto por los colombianos) en las pasarelas internacionales y es que desde NY a París la exuberancia de la flora latina se hizo increíblemente presente en las propuestas. Para nosotros más que una tendencia es sin duda la norma solo hay que entrar a cualquier boutique o tienda para encontrar estilos similares. Supongo que es una de las veces donde más que ser influenciados por tendencias nosotros los influenciamos a ellos.

Definitely, the influence generated by Latin American tropicalism (mostly proposed by Colombians) on international catwalks was a long time coming, from the NY to Paris, the exuberance of Latin flora became incredibly present in the proposals. For us, more than a trend, it is certainly the norm, you just have to enter any boutique or store to find similar styles. I guess this one time we were the influencers.

Printed Games

Esta es probablemente la tendencia más difícil para algunos dado que la combinación de estampados, al menos a un nivel "pro", puede ser una experiencia muy abrumadora; yo me identifico en ese grupo. No hay duda que los diseñadores se divirtieron con sus estampados creando atuendos visualmente atrapantes llenos de texturas y un potente colorido.

This is probably the most difficult trend for some since the combination of prints, at least at a "pro" level, can be a very overwhelming experience; I identify myself in that group. There is no doubt that the designers had fun with their prints creating visually captivating garments full of textures and powerful color.
