Siempre he tenido un cierto cariño extra
por los bolsos. A pesar de trabajar en el medio de la moda hace ya casi seis
años y tener la posibilidad de ver hermosas creaciones en materia de
indumentaria debo decir que guardo un lugar muy especial en mi corazón por este
tipo de accesorio; desde una perspectiva visual son pequeños universos de
diseño cuyo aspecto puede revelar varias cosas de la persona quien lo elije,
complementan un atuendo y muchas veces lo elevan, son un sueño de creatividad
hecho realidad que puede encajar perfectamente a un individuo sin la necesidad
de entalle.
Es por eso que me emocioné mucho cuando
navegando casualmente por instagram veo los bolsos de la diseñadora Diana
Arcila, estos me llamaron mucho la atención debido a su diseño que tiene una estética
cuidada, elegante, versátil y muy usable. En imágenes sin duda se veían increíbles
pero he aprendido a que nada te asegura más que algo este bien hecho que
tocarlo con tus propias manos lo cual tuve la oportunidad gracias a un proyecto
(estaré anunciándoles pronto) que me acercó a las creaciones de esta diseñadora
y en efecto la calidad es otra de sus grandes cualidades.
Así que al enterarme que estaba por sacar
una colección nueva sabía que tenía que mostrarla en mi blog.
I´ve always had a certain extra love for bags. Despite working in my country´s fashion media for almost six years and having the possibility of coming across some amazing garment creations there´s this really special place en mi heart for this type of accesory, from a visual point of view they are little designed universes that can tell you things about a person´s style and phsyque, they can compliment or even elevate a look, they truly are a creative dream come to life that can fit and individual perfectly without even having to tailor it.
This is why I got very excited when casually going about instagram and suddenly Diana Arcila´s bags come up and they impressed me with their cared, elegant, versatile and wearable designs. Now they looked amazing in images but one thing you learn in this media is that only through touch, and a closer look, you can actually tell if something is worth it and I had the chance thanks to a project (more on that soon) that got me closer to her designs and the quality is just up to par.
So when I found out she had a new collection coming out well it was due that it will be appearing in my blog.
Los bolsos de esta diseñadora están
fabricados utilizando excelentes materiales de diversos sitios tales como
Argentina y Brasil, mientras que los herrajes provienen de Italia y todo se
confecciona en Panamá.
La colección más reciente recibe el nombre
de Origami Style y en palabras de su creadora "Como su nombre lo dice,
está inspirada en algunos animales y flores de origami. Puesto que la marca le
da mucho valor a la autóctono, se incluyeron también en la colección algunos diseños
con tela de Paruma que es la que suelen usar las indias Guaimí en su
vestimenta".
La diseñadora mantuvo el tema de
inspiración abierto buscando materiales y formas que le recordaran a los
elementos del origami sin irse a lo literal, aunque si incluyó formas más
tradicionales de este arte como detalles en algunas carteras. Un gran punto a
su favor es el valor que le da al trabajo de las tribus indígenas locales
utilizando textiles que son muy conocidos aquí y que le brindan una explosión
de color hermosa a sus creaciones.
The designer´s bags are made with great materials that are supplied from different places such as Argentina and Brazil, while the hardware flies over from Italy and everything is made in Panamá.
The new collection goes by the name Origami Style and in the designer´s own words "As the name indicates, it is inspired by some animals and flowers made from origami. Also, the brand always shows its love for the country´s native elements, so the collection included some designs with Paruma fabric which is very traditional in the Guaimi indigenous tribe ensembles".
The designer navigated through her inspiration by searching materials that ecoed characteristics and shapes previously seen in origami without taking it to literal, though she did include some of the more classic elements of this art in some bags details. In my eyes a great point in her favor was the use of the indigenous fabric showing deep care and value for their own craftmanship while adding a great color explotion to her creations.
