PFW Spring 2017 - My Top Collections.

¡Hola a todos! Como algunos sabrán la semana de la moda que concierne a las cuatro grandes capitales ha terminado por esta temporada y nos ha dejado muchísimo que ver, cosas que seguramente analizaré más adelante en mis tendencias de primavera. Los que han leído este blog con anterioridad saben que para mi ya es costumbre hacer dos entradas la primera usualmente es sobre uno de mis elementos favoritos del NYFW y la segunda mis colecciones preferidas del PFW ya que son las dos semanas que me gustan más.

Paris tiene una forma muy especial de conquistar mi corazón cada temporada y es que sus diseñadores saben crear un balance entre piezas creativas e interesantes con una cualidad muy usable y eso es algo que siempre tengo como principal a la hora de elegir las marcas de moda que me encantan.

Y con este post, por ahora, termino mi selección internacional pues a partir de la próxima semana será todo sobre el Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Panamá 2016 y algunas otras cosas así que estén muy pendientes y si quieren poder seguir mis andanzas en tiempo real recuerden que pueden seguirme en instagram @theblacklabelblog 

Hello everyone! As some of you might be aware of the fashion week concerning the four major capitals is already over for the season and it has left us with a lot to digest, but those are things I´ll probably discuss forward in my sping trends entries. Those of you who have being reading my blog from way back when know that it is a costum for me doing two entries the first with my favorite element/microtrend from NYFW and the second one all about PFW collections and this is because these are my two favorite fashion weeks.

Paris in particular has a way of conquering my heart each season maybe because the designers know how to create a balance of creative and interesting garments that are still very wearable and that is something I always look for when choosing a brand to pour my love into.

With this post, for the time being, am laying rest to the international fashion because starting from next week it´ll be all about the Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week Panamá 2016 and some other things as well so stay very much tuned please, also if you want to keep up with whatever I am doing in real time be sure to follow my instagram account @theblacklabelblog

CARVEN

Estilos del pasado fueron actualizados para conquistar a la chica moderna, piezas transparentes y estampados que adquieren la forma de faldas asimétricas y pantalones cargo entallados fueron elementos clave en una colección que re-interpreto el legado de Madame Carven.

Past styles were revamped to appeal to a younger generation with transparent pieces and prints that transformed into assymetrical skirts and slim cargo pants that were key pieces in a collection that re-interpreted Madame Carven´s legacy.

KENZO

Los 70´s vuelven más divertidos que nunca con remembranzas al Studio 54. Los diseñadores se encargaron de elevar piezas deportivas y de diario con el toque de coolness clásico de Kenzo y sus fantásticos estampados.

The 70´s are back and with a bang taking a cue from the iconic Studio 54. The designers elevated sportswear and daily pieces with the charactristic cool vibe that defines Kenzo and it´s amazing prints.

CHANEL

Una colección que mezclo temas como la era tecnológica, el estilo urbano y la ropa interior. La visión de Karl Lagerfeld siempre tiene tintes y sub-tintes que en ocasiones son difíciles de entender, lo que si era a totalmente comprensible es que esta es una colección para el ahora cargada de color y con detalles que gritan a voces Chanel.

A collection that mixed themes like techonology, urban styles and lingerie. Karl Lagerfeld´s vision is not alway easy to digest or even understand in some cases but what is totally comprehensible was the fact that this collection spoke about the now with the color to match and details that shout out Chanel.

MUGLER

Una de mis colecciones favoritas inspirada en los tiburones con siluetas muy definidas y casi peligrosas diseñadas para resaltar los puntos correctos. El tema acuático se siguió en la utilización de telas como el scuba y detalles inspirados en atuendos de buceo, la marca hace honor a esa vibra moderna y vanguardista que tanto la caracteriza con una colección fantástica.

One of my favorite collections inspired by sharks with defined and dangerously seductive silhouettes that worked wonder at highlighting all the right places. The acuatic theme followed in the usage of fabrics like scuba and details inspired by diving outfits, the brand honors its modern and contemporary vibe with a fantastic collection.

ELIE SAAB

¡El disco esta vivo! Elie Saab tomó inspiraciones setenteras de música y estilo para crear una colección estelar que brilló con todo el glamour que ya es icono de su marca y que a su vez trajo a un plano actual gracias a la inclusión de chaquetas tipo bomber y gorras de baseball.

Disco is alive! Elie Saab took cues from the seventies style and music to create a starbright collection -absoltute pun intended- that had all his signature glitz and glam paired with a more modern feel thanks to the inclusion of bomber jackets and baseball caps.

DRIES VAN NOTEN

El talentoso diseñador se encargó de dotar a esta colección con una infusión de "todo es posible" combinando piezas que en teoría son totalmente opuestas en atuendos que representan la espontaneidad e imaginación estiloza de nuestra generación. 

The talented designer took the task of creating a collection that was infused by a "everything is possible" approach mixing pieces that theorically are never bound to come across but they did representing the spontaniety and boundless style imagination of our generation.

LANVIN

Tras la salida de Alber Elbaz la nueva directora creativa Bouchra Jarrar tomó las riendas de esta reconocida casa de moda encontrando en sus archivos una relación entre los estilos que manejó esta marca en sus inicios y el sello de ella que tiende hacía la sastrería femenina. Esto último informó su colección debut creando automáticamente una nueva visión para Lanvin con un cierto tinte de empoderamiento femenino sin dejar a un lado el toque de lujo que su predecesor estableció como parte de los códigos de la casa.

After Alber Elbaz departure the new creative designer Bouchra Jarrar took the reigns of this storied house finding in its archives a relationship between the styles that the founding designer handled at the very beginning and her own signature which inclines to women´s tailoring. This informed her debut collection instantly creating a new vision for Lanvin that has keys to female empowerment without sacrificing the sense of luxury that her predecessor established years before as key code of the house.

CHLOÉ

La diseñadora comentó que quiso regresar el estilo a la ciudad y eso se evidenció en prendas contemporáneas que a su vez poseían siluetas más fluidas, holgadas y en general cómodas. La marca le hace guiño a la chica citadina que gusta de presumir estilo sin sacrificar comodidad y practicidad, que además encuentra en la propuesta prendas que se adaptan perfectamente a distintas situaciones, sin dejar a un lado parte del toque hippie que tanto gusta. 

The designer commented she wanted to take it back to the city and that was completely true thanks to garments that boasted fluid and baggier silhouettes that spoke about a sense of comfort. It is making a wink to that city woman that carries her style with vigour without having to compromise on things like comfortability or practicality, and that also finds in this outing pieces that are perfectly adaptable to a range of scenarios which still carry, in a more subtle way, the hippie vibe that is always associated with the brand.

PAULE KA

Un viaje a la tierra del sol naciente fue el detonante para la creación de esta colección que en vez de tomar los cliches característicos de las maravillas sartoriales de la tierra los abordó como una idea que influyó en la creación de distintos elementos de confección como mangas, plisados y trajes sastre. El exotismo de la flora japonesa encontró su lugar creando un canvas visual que brindó a la línea esa dosis extras de "pzass" que no deja a nadie indiferente.

A trip to the land of the rising sun was the key inspiration for the creation of a collection that stayed away from the sartorial cliches of the region and insted chose to view them as influences in the workings of various techinical elements like sleeves, pleatings and suits. The exotic delight of the japanese flora found its way through creating a visual canvas that permeated the offerring with that extra dose of "pzass" that is impossible to overlook.

BALMAIN

Este año la pedrería pesada decidió tomarse unas vacaciones en favor de estampados y color, siguiendo el concepto de lujo pero desde una perspectiva menos cargada pero igual de impactante. Una marca que se prepara para la expansión, gracias a que fue comprada por Mayhoola hace unos meses, y lo demuestra en la incursión de piezas más fluidas y menos severas al cuerpo sin duda pensando en una clientela mucho más grande. Balmain comienza un proceso de evolución y se ve muy bien mientras lo hace.

This year the heavy beading has taken a leave in favor of prints and color, maintaining the luxury concept but from a less dense perspective that still holds the impact factor. A brand that´s getting ready for mayor expansion, thanks to the fact that it was recently purchased by the company Mayhoola, and demonstrated it with the adding of pieces that are more fluid and less severe on the body no doubt taking in account a much broader clientele. Balmain is starting a process of evolution and it looks damn good while doing it.
