¡Feliz Miércoles! Estamos a mitad de semana y me gustaría compartir con ustedes las imágenes de un evento al que fui invitado la semana pasada, se trató de la presentación de la nueva fragancia de Guerlain que lleva por titulo Mon Guerlain Florale.
Medios, clientes y personalidades se hicieron presentes en esta velada la cual se llevó a cabo en Obarrio Casa Club, una hermosa casa ubicada en el sector de Obarrio en la ciudad de Panamá la cual ahora se utiliza como espacio para hacer diversidad de eventos y que cuenta con dos amplias áreas comunes y un hermoso jardín perfecto para esos días, y noches, de verano.
A la entrada fuimos recibidos con una espectacular mesa de dulces y durante la velada fuimos atendidos por meseros quienes ofrecían distintas bebidas y aperitivos deliciosos (honestamente me gustaría saber quien hizo el catering) mientras nos relajábamos con música en vivo gracias a un excelente saxofonista.
Happy Wednesday! We are in the middle of the week and I would like to share with you the images of an event that I was invited to last week, it was the presentation of the new fragrance of Guerlain that is titled Mon Guerlain Florale.
Media, customers and personalities were present at this evening which was held at Obarrio Casa Club, a beautiful house located in the sector of Obarrio in the city of Panama which is now used as a space to make a diversity of events, it has two large common areas and a beautiful garden perfect for summer days and evenings.
At the entrance we were greeted with a spectacular dessert table and during the evening we were served by waiters who offered different drinks and delicious appetizers (honestly I would like to know who did the catering) while we relaxed with live music thanks to an excellent saxophonist.
El evento dio inicio con una explicación de la historia de Guerlain y sus contribuciones al mundo de la perfumería y belleza, así como la introducción a su embajadora la actriz Angelina Jolie quien para la marca es una personificación de aquello que están celebrando con esta fragancia, la feminidad. Este perfume fue creado para representar las diferentes facetas de la feminidad como su sutileza, misterio y sensualidad pero también su fuerza, determinación y orgullo.
Desde 1828 la casa ha contado con 5 generaciones de perfumistas y esta fragancia en particular fue co-creada por Delphine Jelk y el maestro perfumista Thierry Wasser. Mientras que la hermosa botella cuadrilobé, icono de la casa, que sirve para contener el perfume fue diseñada por Gabriel Guerlain y creada por Baccarat en el año 1908.
The event began with an explanation of the history of Guerlain and its contributions to the world of perfumery and beauty, as well as the introduction to their ambassador actress Angelina Jolie who for the brand is a personification of what they are celebrating with this fragrance, femininity. This perfume was created to represent the different facets of femininity as its subtlety, mystery and sensuality but also its strength, determination and pride.
Since 1828 the house has had 5 generations of perfumers and this particular fragrance was co-created by Delphine Jelk and master perfumer Thierry Wasser. While the beautiful cuadrilobé bottle, icon of the house, which serves to contain the perfume was designed by Gabriel Guerlain and created by Baccarat in 1908.
También se nos habló de las notas florales principales que componen esta maravillosa fragancia y como la cualidad de los perfumistas de ser exploradores los llevaron a reunir cuatro particulares flores que dan vida a este perfume.
Desde el sur de Francia la intensa Lavanda Carla la cual tomó una destilación de diez años en agua para conseguir la esencia más cercana a la flor, de India el exótico Jasmín de Sambac, de China la fresca Peonia y la sensual orquídea Vainilla de tierras mexicanas cuya tintura para los estándares de la casa toma tres años en conseguirse.
Una vez realizada la presentación los invitados tuvimos la oportunidad de conversar y oler la fragancia para sentir sus notas; en mi caso tuve la impresión que la vainilla tenia una presencia bastante intensa que le daba un aura exótica pero no al punto de ser empalagosa y una vez que el perfume se va asentando da paso a notas más primaverales.
We were also told about the main floral notes that make up this wonderful fragrance and how the quality of the perfumers of being explorers led them to collect four particular flowers that give life to this perfume.
From the south of France the intense Carla Lavender which took a distillation of ten years in water to get the essence closest to the flower, from India the exotic Jasmine from Sambac, from China the fresh Peony and the sensual orchid Vanilla from Mexican lands whose tincture by house standards takes three years to get.
Once the presentation was made, the guests had the opportunity to talk and smell the fragrance to feel their notes; in my case I had the impression that the vanilla had a fairly intense presence that gave it an exotic aura but not to the point of being cloying and once the perfume settles gives way to more spring notes.
