¡Hola a tod@s! Si alguno me sigue en instagram sabrá que anuncié una entrada muy especial para hoy y pues lo prometido es deuda. Aquellos que me sigan desde hace algunos años quizás sabrán, y si no pues aquí les comparto, que trabajo como asistente creativo de el diseñador colombiano John Bejarano quien ha estado radicado en Panamá desde hace más de diez años.
Concretamente empecé a trabajar con su equipo desde el año 2012 donde tuve parte en la creación y desarrollo de la línea pret-a-porter, la marca había sido exclusivamente de diseño a medida hasta ese momento. El año pasado se presentó la décima colección lista para usar que corresponde a la temporada primavera-verano 2018 en el Fashion Week Panamá y posteriormente se llevó la propuesta a Colombia para una presentación especial en la Pasarela de Inclusión 2017.
La colección está inspirada en las obras del artista colombiano Omar Rayo quien fue muy reconocido por su trabajo gráfico que presentaba mucha geometría e ilusiones ópticas generalmente en blanco y negro con algunos toques de color. Recientemente se realizó el lookbook de la colección con el fotógrafo Rubén Quintero, la modelo Ashley Cline y el estilista Alexis Laguna, y esta vez tuve la oportunidad de hacer algunas imágenes de su producción para compartir con todos ustedes.
Hello everyone! If some of you happen to follow me on instagram you will know that I announced a very special entry for today and because what is promised is debt I´m here to pay. Those of you who have been following me for a few years may know, and if you don´t well now you do, that I work as a creative assistant to the Colombian designer John Bejarano who has been living in Panama for more than ten years.
Specifically, I started working with his team since 2012, where I had a part in the creation and development of the ready to wear line, the brand had been exclusively designed to measure until then. Last year, the tenth collection was presented, which corresponds to the Spring-Summer 2018 season at Fashion Week Panama and the proposal was later taken to Colombia for a special presentation at the 2017 Inclusion Runway.
The collection is inspired by the works of the Colombian artist Omar Rayo who was well known for his graphic work that presented a lot of geometry and optical illusions, usually in black and white with some touches of color. Recently the lookbook of the collection was made with the photographer Rubén Quintero, the model Ashley Cline and the stylist Alexis Laguna, and this time I had the opportunity to take some images of the production to share with all of you.
